#NYP transplant patient Ken Brijlall threw out the first pitch at last Wednesday’s mets game to celebrate an extraordinary milestone: 23 years since his lifesaving double lung transplant. Diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension at 16, Ken received care at
#NYPColumbia from pulmonologist Dr. Selim Arcasoy, and underwent the lung transplant with thoracic surgeon Dr. Joshua Sonett in 2003.
Today, Ken is living life to the fullest, including taking singing lessons. During the seventh-inning stretch, he showed off his powerful lungs, leading fans in “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” Join us in cheering on Ken!
