Elio from our Milan cargo team recently organised the charter of an Antonov AN-124. The project involved a highly coordinated effort, including road transportation, handling at airports, and meticulous planning throughout every stage. Given the sensitive nature of the cargo, they conducted an in-depth load study to carefully assess lifting points and secure anchoring for a large container originally intended for sea freight. Due to urgency, the client ultimately opted for an air solution. The Antonov AN-124 was the only aircraft capable of accommodating such oversized cargo, making this operation both unique and technically challenging.
