Colorado peaches may be hard to find this year. 🍑 A deep freeze that struck Colorado earlier this month — following an abnormally dry and warm winter — destroyed seasonal fruit crops from several growers on the state’s Western Slope, including at least one farm’s entire peach harvest. Three of five fruit growers who frequent the Boulder County Farmers Markets reported total losses, according to market officials. “We have found no live fruits after the precipitous freeze that happened a week and a half ago. It appears that the 2026 Ela fruit crop is lost,” Hotchkiss-based elafamilyfarms wrote.
