Some believe doctors will always step in during complications. The reality is far more serious. Under Idaho’s total abortion ban, there are no clear protections for physicians to act when a mother’s health is at risk. Doctors are being forced into impossible decisions. Risk their license and liberty or risk a life. And many are choosing to leave rather than practice under that uncertainty. We already see a loss of OB-GYNs across the state.
