Already pumped and excited to be volunteering at this years Sports Summit and how cool would it be if this was the winning design for their custom tote!!! For this design, I wanted to pull together two things that immediately connect to both sports and Denver: footwear and the mountains. I started by focusing on one shared element across different sports—what athletes wear to move, compete, and perform. That led me to building the design around a hockey skate, baseball cleat, soccer cleat, football cleat, basketball shoe, and tennis shoe to represent a wide range of the sports world through one visual language. At the same time, I knew I wanted the location to be present in both text and imagery. “Denver, CO” anchors the design at the bottom, while the mountain range brings in an instant connection to Colorado.
