The Missouri Students Association canceled its Spring Forum, which was scheduled for April 22, after UM System President Mun Choi rescinded his participation in the event two days before it was scheduled. Instead of the forum, which was meant to be a public, moderated discussion between Choi and MSA President Noah Schnarre, Choi opted to meet with student leaders privately on April 24. Choi’s decision not to participate in the forum came after MSA passed Senate Bill No. 65-31, “A Resolution Demanding Administrative Accountability for the Defunding of Multicultural & Queer Student Organizations,” on April 14. The bill, which was introduced by Speaker of the Senate Jaelyn Woodley, condemned the administration for “intentionally perpetuating racial and queer inequities.” After Choi received the bill on April 20, the forum, which was set to be open to the student body, was canceled.
