BOWEN WALKS OFF EAGLES: The feet, glove, and bat of senior Blake Bowen helped the jserra.baseball team produced a thrilling, come-from-behind 8-7 walk-off victory in eight innings over the Santa Margarita Eagles to begin their three-game Trinity League series on Tuesday at JSerra Catholic High School. Santa Margarita jumped out to a 7-2 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning, but the Lions came roaring back. Freshman Joey Koenig and sophomore Jax Janeski led off the inning with back-to-back singles. Sophomore Logan Osmundson came through with another big swing of the bat, as he blasted an 0-2 pitch over the wall in left field for a three-run homerun to cut the deficit to 7-5. Junior Zac Veronda and sophomore Owen Mescall followed with back-to-back singles to put the tying runs on base.
