SC State students were NOT a mob. They were aware, organized, and PAYING ATTENTION.⁠ ⁠ After student protests over South Carolina Lt. Gov. Pamela Evette being selected as the Spring 2026 commencement speaker, South Carolina State University announced it would move in a different direction for the ceremony.⁠ ⁠ This was students using their voices and holding their institution accountable.
