According to nbcnews, Jay Bryant, 52, admitted in federal court on Monday that he played a role in the deadly ambush of the Run-DMC legend, whose real name was Jason Mizell. Bryant had previously pleaded not guilty after being charged nearly three years ago, but has now taken responsibility for his involvement. _________________________ Bryant told the judge he knowingly helped the gunmen enter Mizell’s New York recording studio, admitting, “I knew a gun was going to be used to shoot Jason Mizell… I knew that what I was doing was wrong and a crime.” Prosecutors say Bryant helped carry out the plan by opening a back door for the shooters just before the attack.
