On February 6, 1990 at Clash of the Champions X in Corpus Christi, Texas, the Four Horsemen kicked Sting out of the group for refusing to give up his title shot against Ric Flair. Later that same night Sting ran to the cage to get revenge and blew out his knee hitting the cage. The injury kept him out for five months.
