As a basketball-loving Seattleite, Gary Payton has always been the greatest to ever do it in my book. The Glove 🧤 Olympic gold medalist 🥇, 1996 Defensive Player of the Year (still the only point guard to ever win it btw), 17-season vet with 9 NBA All-Star selections & a Hall of Famer. He redefined the point guard position with his relentless backcourt defense that I still think about often.
