When we sat down with jeep to create a collaboration piece, we knew that we wanted it to embody the shared military heritage and #purposebuilt design of both brands. The 41mm Jeep® Willys combines inspiration from both Jeep and the original Marathon field watch issued in 1941, developed for use by infantry and officers during ground operations. The dial features a modernized treatment of the original Marathon WWII-issued dial emblazoned with Jeep’s iconic logo, with enhanced visibility in low-light conditions via #MaraGlo illumination on the hour hand, minute hand, and the Arabic hour numerals. We wrapped the movements — both mechanical and quartz — in a 316L steel case with a parkerized finish, reducing reflectivity and increasing corrosion resistance. The result? Well, much like the icons that inspired it, speaks for itself.
