Fan-favorite GREAT WHITE, a 3-year-old son of Volatile, has arrived at Churchill Downs in hopes of making it into the field for this year’s running of the Grade I Kentucky Derby 🌹 Currently, the colt - who towers above most others on the track at 17.2 hands - is first on the AE list for the Derby, meaning if one horse currently in the field is scratched, he’ll be in. Winner of the John Battaglia Memorial Stakes earlier this year, the John Ennis-trained Great White finished fifth in the April 4 GI Toyota Blue Grass Stakes last time out. The 3-year-old gelding is also entered in the GII Pat Day Mile Stakes on the May 2 Derby undercard at Churchill Downs. If he doesn’t get into the Derby, he will run in the Pat Day.
