I was born with fibular hemimelia and at 18 months old, both of my legs were amputated below the knees. As Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting a lot. Growing up without legs, I didn’t have a choice but to be resilient. People would often ask me, “If you could have your legs, would you?” And my answer was always no. I never focused on what I didn’t have, but I did learn something powerful: being different never meant I mattered less. Being reminded I was worthy, capable, and loved shaped everything and gave me the resilience to take on each day as an amputee with purpose. No matter what makes you different… I hope you know you matter 🤍 #limblossawarenessmonth
