When I was 16 in high school, my dad handed me cassette tapes by drwaynedyer called “How to Be a No-Limit Person.” I started listening that day and never stopped. He spoke about the power of your thoughts, and his stories and wisdom changed the trajectory of my life. I decided to include his impact on my life in my commencement speech at floridastateuniversity. Shortly after the speech, I received the copy of a text from Wayne Dyer’s grandson who had been in the audience. I burst into tears. Of course he was. It was the closest I could get to Wayne Dyer being there with me that day. For his grandson and father (Wayne’s son), it was the sign they needed that Wayne was with them on this very special day.
