Meet today’s
#Artist365 artist in Studio 556, Bruce David Millet.
Bruce did not begin taking photography seriously until he was 50 years old, when a friend asked him to take a few photos for social media. After those images were posted, people immediately started asking who the photographer was, and that simple moment sparked a deeper passion for the craft.
Without formal training in photography, Bruce built his practice by trusting his own eye. He focuses less on technical rules and more on what feels right through the lens, capturing the moments, people, and perspectives that draw him in. That instinctive approach has served him well, earning him several awards for his portrait photography.
He is especially drawn to photographing interesting people and the landscapes of New England, finding beauty in both personality and place. Outside the studio, Bruce is also an actor, and both photography and performance are places where he can fully lose himself in the creative process.
