Theatre for Young Audiences! On Saturday, April 18th, students from TH 380 (Theatre for Youth Audiences) and LS 412 (Advanced Arts Integration for the K-8 Classroom) collaboratively hosted a booth at EarthFest to represent Staging Change! A project that integrates theatre and STEM themes, Staging Change works with elementary educators every Spring to promote environmental literacy and increase prosocial action. Our student volunteers helped run a hands-on, interactive leaf rubbing activity for children in the community. The activity is on theme with environmental initiatives of the SLO Climate Coalition and the TYA play that the TH 380 students are working on this quarter called “Alder.” Stay tuned for more information on how to see this TYA play at the end of the quarter! #calpoly #calpolytheatre
