A reconstruction of a Late
#Triassic biome, around 210 million years ago. This region was located in the Southern Hemisphere and corresponds to present-day India, which at the time was part of the
#Gondwana supercontinent.
It was an open, semi-arid landscape dominated by irregularly distributed, drought-adapted vegetation. The ecosystem was strongly seasonal, a long dry season lasted for most of the year, while a shorter monsoon period brought episodic rainfall and a temporary increase in biological productivity.
