Looking back at the 18-year-old that stepped on PV’s campus in 2022… I’m honestly in awe of her. She was determined, driven, carrying more than she ever said out loud, and still chose to go after everything she wanted. She didn’t have it all figured out, but she never let that stop her. Even when it felt far away, she believed she’d make it here.
Now I’m 22… just four years later, with TWO degrees from Prairie View A&M University. I was “supposed” to be finishing my bachelor’s right now, but I wanted more for myself, so I kept going—through every setback, every doubt, and every moment that tried to pull me off course. Staying on this path wasn’t easy, but I stayed committed to the life I wanted for myself.
And when I look at it now… she really stood on everything she said she would. Only 9 months after obtaining my bachelor’s degree, I could’ve followed a completely different path, but I chose this one, and I’m owning into it with no regrets. 🎓
