Repost from jaiminichol • What I’ve always loved about architecture is its ability to transform ordinary spaces into places that hold life’s fondest memories. I fell in love with policy and the power it holds to influence outcomes related to the design of cities, realizing I didn’t just want to design buildings, I wanted to advocate for more equitable and intentional communities. In my freshman year, my dream of becoming an architect gradually shifted towards a pursuit of becoming an attorney.The faculty, professors, my classmates, and my dean supported this new path in ways I could never have imagined, even when they didn’t 100% understand. During moments of fear, they kept me encouraged. The School of Architecture has given me some of my closest friends at PV, whom I now consider family. A big shoutout to ACI, Labib’s studio, AIAS, and all the amazing people I’ve grown to love from our random encounters in the building.
