I didn’t know what to expect coming from New Jersey, a 1,000 miles away from everything that was familiar to me. But, Prairie View shaped me into the person I needed to become. Throughout these 4 years I have carried my roots into numerous spaces and never forgot where I came from. I have learned a lot about myself, having faith despite difficulty, and being resilient through it all. In just a week, I will be walking across the stage as a proud graduate of Prairie View A&M University, thankful for all the memories, moments, and bonds that I’ve been able to create.
