BREAKING: the Ottawa Redblacks have selected Giordano Vaccaro with the first overall pick in the 2026 CFL Draft. The Winnipeg native made 27 starts over three seasons at the University of Manitoba, earning two first-team U Sports All-Canadian selections and winning the J.P. Metras Trophy in 2024. Vaccaro's success with the Bisons led him to transfer to Purdue, where he filled a depth role at centre and guard in 2025.
