The physical, mental, and emotional toll this game takes on each person is different. Over the first 22 days of this game, my body slowly withered away. The strength I worked so hard to build was gone, the athleticism and intelligence I depend on in my real life was failing me over and over in challenges. My brain was getting stuck in a cycle that I was a failure and no one would respect me when I returned to the normal world. This grueling, intense game impacts each contestant deeply in so many ways that are not captured in the 90 minutes the audience sees each Wednesday.  But there are also so many relationships, bonds, and beautiful moments between competitors that will never be shown on TV either.
