While rising water levels continue to impact parts of the shoreline, he looked completely unbothered, turning a flooded beach into his personal reading spot. Across Ottawa, water levels along the Ottawa River have been rising due to spring snowmelt and recent rainfall, with officials warning that flooding has already affected low lying areas like parks, pathways, and waterfront spaces. Levels are expected to continue increasing, with some areas reaching minor to even potential major flood conditions in the past few days.  Photos from around the city have shown submerged benches, pathways, and sections of shoreline, especially near Britannia, as the river pushes beyond its usual limits.
