What a day 💙 On Tuesday, the Pellissippi Strong Luncheon brought together more than 400 community members, partners, and alumni to celebrate student perseverance and achievement, and recognize the donors who help make it possible. We heard from Melissa Whitney, a Criminal Justice major and soon-to-be first-generation college graduate whose incredible journey back to college highlights the life-changing impact of access and opportunity. We also celebrated Carrie Poteat ('13), recipient of the Peggy Wilson Volunteer Alumni Award, and Dr. Angel W. ('93), honored with the 2026 Distinguished Alumni Award for her remarkable career in public service. All proceeds from this luncheon directly support students on their academic and career journeys.
