I made a pregnancy / birth bingo card and somehow I hit every square. Not because I did anything perfectly. And not because I controlled the outcome. But because my body, my babies, and my circumstances aligned in ways I don’t take for granted for a second. Over the course of 4 pregnancies and 5 babies, this is what my “card” looked like: I carried all of my babies to full term. (40, 41, 41+4… and 38+5 with twins) I had home births every time. Including a twin home birth with a breech delivery and a baby born en caul. No NICU time. Immediate skin-to-skin and latching with all 5 babies. My mom as my doula. Brit helping deliver our babies and cutting their cords. My older kids present at their baby siblings births.
