For the past two years, I’ve had the opportunity to share books and family artifacts that represent our family’s cultures alongside other families at the annual Academic Night for our school to kick off Nevada Reading Week festivities. I’m incredibly proud to represent the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and American Samoa.
Showing up in spaces like this matters. It’s about celebrating heritage and also about reinforcing the values that guide my campaign: respect, service, and community trust. When families feel seen and students feel empowered, we strengthen the very foundation of civic life.
As I seek to serve on the bench, I carry those same commitments with me — to fairness, cultural understanding, and ensuring every person who walks into a courtroom is treated with dignity. Our community is diverse, resilient, and proud.
Our institutions should reflect that.
