How it started vs How it ended!
I was in complete awe of the phenomenal work of @legalaidsnv’s Pro Bono Project over the last 25 years as we celebrated this year’s awardees at the annual Pro Bono Awards Luncheon. From volunteering with the “Ask-A-Lawyer” program, to helping survivors of domestic violence, to handling complex civil matters—members of the Las Vegas legal community are making an impact—one pro bono hour at a time.
In its next 25 years, LACSN hopes to serve even more clients at the Advocacy and Justice Complex. This centralized facility will provide services to survivors of violent crime with legal aid, mental health services, and resource centralization. While also serving our elderly community members through the “Guardianship Advocacy Project” which aims to combat exploitation and “financial abuse by predatory guardians.”
