The recent segment shared the impact of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs)—volunteers who provide consistent support and advocacy for children in foster care.
CASA volunteers like Robert Huesca provide critical support and advocacy for foster youth, often making the difference between a child remaining with family or entering foster care indefinitely. One inspiring story is that of Anthony O’Leary, who faced an unstable childhood in the system but found stability and support through his CASA volunteer, Daniel. With Daniel’s guidance and advocacy, Anthony was able to move back in with his great aunt and grandmother — his forever home — and ultimately earned a full-ride scholarship to UCLA.
