This National Volunteer Week, Voices for Children Managing Director for Riverside County Sharon Morris is thankful to all our Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers, who are willing to give their time and so much of themselves to serve the children of Riverside County. Having served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for five years, her experience advocating for youth in foster care led her to switch careers to the nonprofit sector and join the Voices for Children CASA program in Riverside County in 2015. Through her role as a CASA and now as Managing Director, she sees how each CASA volunteer is an agent of change for a child in foster care and how their sheer presence in a child's life has a meaningful impact.
