Meet Sarah, who was removed from her home and entered the foster care system just before starting kindergarten. With so many unexpected changes in her day-to-day life, her teachers noticed she struggled in certain areas and would most likely need extra help to not fall behind in school. Sarah then met Julie, her Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). With CASA Julie by her side, Sarah was able to succeed. CASA Julie worked with Sarah's teachers, social workers, parents, and grandparents to advocate for individualized therapy to improve Sarah's speech and motor skills.
