A temporary restraining order has been granted in the ongoing case over drilling near Pe’ Sla in the Black Hills, South Dakota. The update was confirmed by Oglala Sioux Tribe President Frank Star Comes Out following court proceedings in Rapid City. The emergency motion was filed on April 28 by NDN Collective, Black Hills Clean Water Alliance, and Earthworks in a lawsuit against the U.S. Forest Service, after drilling began within a protected two-mile buffer zone surrounding the sacred site. Crowds gathered outside the courthouse in Rapid City in song following the decision. — Source: NDN Collective, Frank Star Comes Out #Land | #PeSla
