Just to be very clear, this video is about delivery, not early pregnancy complications. During labor, there isn’t a moment where someone is asked to “choose.” Doctors are not allowed to harm one patient to save another and medical ethics are very clear on this. There is no “we’ll let one die to save the other” decision being handed off to a spouse. In delivery emergencies,when something goes wrong, the standard response is rapid delivery (often an emergency C-section) while continuing to treat the mother. The goal is to save both as quickly as possible. There isn’t time or even a mechanism for some philosophical “choice” between lives.
