Wu Yize needs just five frames to become snooker World champion.
The 22-year-old Chinese superstar lost the first five frames in the afternoon session against Shaun Murphy.
But Wu, from Lanzhou in the northwest of China, battled back to produce some dazzling snooker with three frames in a row to lead 13-12 of the best-of-35 contest.
If Wu wins he will become the second youngest champion after Stephen Hendry who was 21 in 1990 and would follow last year’s stunning victory by compatriot Zhao Xintong.
