What is it the kids say now? “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes…” Sometimes, as a photographer, you just put yourself into a position and hope for the best. Each game, I’m asked to photograph players walking from the locker room through a darkened tunnel lined with fans. It’s not a wide space, and so for this shot I was crouched low, shooting up for effect and hoping not to get stepped on by a player in dark, all the while being hit in the head by fans trying to high five their favorite players. Once in awhile, serendipity hits and composition comes together. The reaching hands, the light, the fact that it’s JSN who is known for his hands, the reflective shield all conspire to make a frame. 📸: Nikon Z 8, NIkkor 24-70mm f/2.8 S, 1/250th sec., f/2.8 ISO 6400 #seahawks #jsn #sportsphotography #nikon #nikonz8 #nikonambassador
