When driving across country after completing my Master’s degree I insisted that we take Route 66 and the Slug Bug Ranch was one of the roadside attractions I couldn’t miss! . . . . It is a parody of the more famous (and historic) Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo, TX, but was created in 2002 and a little outside Amarillo, but arguably closer to the highway than the Cadillacs.
