Speaking of ads… Gap just dropped an INSANE new campaign.
Sweats Like This stars Grammy-nominated Puerto Rican rapper youngmikoar in a full music video for her track WASSUP. It marks Gap’s first ever Spanish-language campaign.
Gap’s advertising history is genuinely wild. The first store opened in 1969 selling jeans and records, and that music-first DNA never really left the brand.
Since the late 80s, gap campaigns have leaned on choreography, cultural icons and a very particular white backdrop to turn simple clothing into something that feels like a moment rather than just a product.
