Nearly 15 years into his ownership, Pistons chairman Tom Gores earned his first playoff series win and it’s fueling a broader resurgence in Detroit.
A Game 7 victory drew more than 20,000 fans to Little Caesars Arena (the second-highest attendance in venue history), underscoring a renewed connection between the team, the city and the brand.
Gores credited the turnaround to alignment and culture: a unified front office, coaching staff and business operation led by GM Trajan Langdon, coach J.B. Bickerstaff, President of Business Operations Melanie Harris and All-Star Cade Cunningham.
His core message to the team: no limits — no excuses, no ceilings and no complacency.
