Growing up, I always thought May Day was just a public holiday. A day off, a slower morning, a date on the calendar you never really question. But being at the NTUC May Day Rally this year reminded me that it’s actually about something much bigger — celebrating workers, recognising the support behind them, and looking at how they can continue to be supported in the years ahead. This year, it was also announced that the Tripartite Jobs Council will be formed, bringing NTUC, MOM and SNEF together to support workers and businesses as work continues to change with AI. So May Day isn’t just a day off after all. And if you’re a worker here in Singapore, happy May Day to you 🙂 @NTUC Singapore #EveryWorkerMatters
