Nebraska closed out its weekend series at Ohio State with a performance it would prefer to forget.
The Cornhuskers were swept by the Buckeyes, capped by a 10-1 loss Sunday. Nebraska managed just five total runs across the three-game series while allowing 19.
The skid contributed to a drop in the latest D1Baseball rankings, with Nebraska falling from the mid-teens to No. 25.
Despite the setback, the Huskers are 34-14 overall and remain in contention in the Big Ten race. Nebraska is tied with Oregon at 17-7 in conference play, though the Ducks hold the tiebreaker after winning two of three games in Eugene earlier this season. As a result, the Cornhuskers sit in third place in the standings.
UCLA, unbeaten in conference play at 24-0, has clinched the Big Ten regular-season title.
Nebraska will look to rebound at home this weekend in its final Big Ten home series of the season against Iowa.
