Ingredients:
• 1 lb bacon, thinly sliced
• 1 lb Italian sausage
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 4 garlic cloves, minced
• 4 medium potatoes, sliced
• 12 cups water
• 1 tbsp chicken Better Than Bouillon
• 1 tsp salt, more to taste
• ¼ tsp black pepper
• ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
• 1 cup heavy cream
• 3–4 cups chopped kale
• Parmesan cheese, for serving
Directions:
1. Cook bacon until crispy. Remove to a paper towel-lined bowl. Remove most of the bacon fat, leaving 1 tbsp in the pot.
2. Sauté onion for 3 minutes, then add garlic and cook 1 minute.
3. Add Italian sausage and cook until browned, then remove everything to a bowl.
