Alabama home values in general just barely increased over the last year. Typical homes were about $1,000 more valuable across the state in February of this year compared to March of 2025, per seasonally adjusted Zillow data. That represented about a 0.4% increase year-over-year.
But in Mountain Brook, where homes are already staggeringly expensive by Alabama standards, typical home values shot up by more than $50,000 — a 5.3% increase. That was among the biggest increases in the state over the last year.
