🌾🌼The best thing you can do if you come across young wildlife is to leave them alone, don’t interfere, and to let the wildlife stay wild.
When people interfere with young wildlife, they will learn at an early age to lose their natural fear of humans. This leads to them bonding with us and depending on humans to survive. If ‘rescued’ and returned to nature later, these baby animals will not be able to understand dangers around them or even be able to feed themselves. Even the stress of being handles by a human can be detrimental.
If an animal truly needs help, you’ll need to contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator so they can determine your next steps.
