Boston Marathon Recap time, Part 2! 🌟
Mile 17 was so special- madswithcurls surprised me, coming in to Boston to cheer me on a couple times on course, including right before the Newton Hills. WHAT A TREAT 🥹 The next spot I saw her was heading into Brookline, right after the hills. I was FLYING and filled with so many emotions. The easiest part of the race was next, and I got two boosts from my best friend 💕
Brookline was beautiful. The moment you make the turn on Commonwealth to head into Boston, you can see the Citgo sign, and it’s all smooth sailing from there. I was all smiles, and so many happy tears. High fives with fans, and taking in every moment. This is when it hit me, I was really going to crush my goal time. Now just do it without getting hurt.
Pass the Citgo sign, go on the final underpass, and I look left- my brother caught up to me. We got to cross the start line together, turn right on Hereford together, left on Boylston together, find our mom and April together, ...
