Boston Marathon Recap time, 2024 vs 2026 edition, Part 1! 🌟 Starting the race this year, I came in with 300+ miles of training under my belt. Speed training, hill training, rest and recovery all mixed in. I stuck pretty close to my plan. I weighed around 20lbs less than 2024, and it made a difference. I was in better shape, and more confident remembering the course from 2024. I was determined for a better race, and set myself up for success. The start flew. Downhill with some climbs, I honestly couldn’t believe how good I felt. Next thing you know, I’m getting close to 10 miles and knew I had to make the decision for a quick restroom stop. I was feeling strong, even with a brief pause, and got back out on course ready to keep chugging along. The entire time, I’m leap frogging with my dad and brother, and when I got out of the restroom, saw them about a half mile ahead, and had to catch back up to them. I did just after the half.
