This place is incredible. 🍷 Katie from travelingspud and I had the chance to tour gem73winery in Sunnyslope wine country, and this place is unlike anything we’ve seen in Idaho before. Opening this summer, the 15,000 sq. ft. winery is built directly into the hillside with spectacular views. We walked the property with the owners and later talked with the architect about the vision behind it all: upscale, approachable, and intentionally designed for gathering, connecting, and lingering a little longer. The inspiration pulls from wineries around the world, with spaces designed for everything from casual weekday tastings to large events and private experiences. There are massive barrel rooms, private meeting and tasting spaces, and even a sensory room specifically created for blending and tasting wine. They’re also planning memberships, community events, harvest wine stomping, and a completely fresh take on what the Idaho wine experience can look like. And the name has a story too. ...
