It was no joke—historic downtown Oxford’s Ulti-Mutt Bakery was awarded $10,000 as a Bright Ideas Regional Finalist from Main Street Alabama on Tuesday, April 1, 2025. 🌟 Owners Jennifer Kendall and Bobby Carson were surprised with the check, delivered by Historic Main Street Oxford Director Hunter Gentry, along with board members and other representatives.
Out of 27 businesses competing for a spot as one of the Alabama Spark Bright Ideas State Regional Wildcard Winners, only five were selected to receive the grant. Ulti-Mutt Bakery🐾 will also have the opportunity to advance and compete for an additional $25,000 grant in the Bright Ideas State Finals competition in August.
The Alabama Spark Initiative helps entrepreneurs and supports the growth of small businesses. So far, $15,000 has been awarded to businesses in downtown Oxford this year through this initiative.
Congratulations to Ulti-Mutt Bakery for their hard work and dedication! 🎉🎊
