Student Government Day is always a great opportunity for students to gain first-hand experience in how their local government operates—and this year was no exception! On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, several Oxford High School students joined us at City Hall to meet with department heads and shadow our city leaders. Throughout the day, they toured key locations including EMACC, the Oxford Police Department, Cider Ridge Golf Club, and the Oxford Civic Center. Students participated in a mock City Council meeting where they passed a proclamation from the “Interim Mayor of Oxford.” Thank you to Mayor Alton Craft, members of the City Council, and our dedicated city staff for taking the time to mentor and inspire the next generation of leaders. #oxfordalabama
