Dear baseball,
Thank you for being the one sport that has been my therapy for so long and for carrying me through some really dark times. Thank you for allowing me to build the relationships I have with my teammates, coaches, and everyone who has been a part of my career.
I was told I would never play in college by my high school coach, and I’ve proved him wrong — along with many others — throughout this journey.
I will miss going to the field every day with my teammates, and I will miss everything you gave me. But as I end this chapter of my life, I am incredibly thankful for the relationships, the life skills, and the countless lessons you’ve taught me. You brought me to places I never thought I would see — across different states and even different countries.
Thank you for allowing me to learn so much. I am eternally grateful for all the lessons and friendships you gave me. Thank you for being my light during some really dark times and for shaping me into the man I am today.
