DLR Group is going to Venice, Italy, with “Tactile,” debuting at Time Space Existence 2025 this May.
While exploring a sensory-informed, research-based approach to designing more neuro-inclusive spaces, DLR Group Interior Designer Sammy Rupp, IIDA, and visual/sound artist Thessia Machado developed this exhibit. Set inside the historic Palazzo Bembo, “Tactile” invites visitors to play, pause, and feel through sculpted fiber forms, soft cocoon-like zones, and sound vibrations that travel through the body.
Supported by a personal development grant from DLR Group and developed in collaboration with Global Design Leader Tim Ganey, AIA, Sammy and Thessia are exploring sensory-informed strategies for neuro-inclusive
#design.
